You can help keep our community safe... |
As a community, we are always proud of our Jewish identity. Unfortunately, recent events have made many in our community feel unsafe. Anti-Semitic graffiti in Richmond, and the tragic attacks at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittburgh and Chabad of Poway are just a few examples of the rise in anti-Semitism worldwide.
The Jewish Community Federation is dedicated to building a culture of security and preparedness for our community, and we need your help. Securing Richmond's Jewish community costs upwards of $250,000 per year. The dollars raised directly offset those costs.
Please consider a donation today to the Security Relief Fund. Your contribution will directly support the safety and preparedness of our local Jewish agencies and synagogues.

Because of your strong and consistent support of the JCFR Annual Campaign,The Federation has already provided $24,895 in security grants to 12 local agencies and synagogues since the attack on the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
Moving forward, we know the need for increased security will not fade. This fund will ensure the increase in security costs does not hinder the ability of Richmond's Jewish agencies and synagogues to provide high quality services and programs.
Funds raised will support security training, facility upgrades and continue to build a culture of security and preparedness for our community.
With your help, we will ensure that Richmond continues to be a safe and secure place for the entire Jewish community.
