We regret to inform you of the passing of Robert “Bob” Hiller, a distinguished professional dedicated to building and sustaining a strong Federation movement.
Beginning in 1948, he rose through the Federation ranks - Associate Campaign Director of the Detroit United Foundation, then Associate Director of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland from 1950-1956 followed by Executive Vice President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.
In 1965, he was named Executive Director of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore. From 1979-1981, he served as Executive Vice President of the Council of Jewish Federations. He also served as the Director of the Krieger Fund which is now led by his daughter, Karen Kreisberg.
The funeral was held in Florida and the family observed shiva there. They will attend Ma’ariv services at Beth El Congregation (8101 Park Heights Ave, Baltimore, Maryland, 21208) on Tuesday, June 9 at 7:30 p.m. The family welcomes those who would like to pay their respects before the service at 7:00 p.m. and after the service at 7:55 p.m. in the Beth El Congregation Kolker Room.
