JCFR and its JCRC are Saddened and Horrified by Mass Shooting in Las Vegas

In the aftermath of Sunday's mass shooting in Las Vegas the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond (JCFR) and its Jewish Community Relations Committee (JCRC) condemn the horrific mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, which has left at least 59 people dead and over 500 injured in what is now the deadliest shooting in our nation’s history. We are deeply saddened as we again face baseless hatred.

“We mourn with those affected and all Americans during this grief-filled time,” commented Frances F. Goldman, co-Chair of the JCRC. She continued, “We offer our heart-felt condolences to the families of those murdered and pray for a speedy recovery to those wounded physically and emotionally.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released an official statement in which he wrote, “on this awful day, the people in Israel stand shoulder to shoulder with the American people. Our hearts are with the families of the victims and we wish full recovery to the injured. We grieve with you.”

JCFR President Nannette Shor said, “Our prayers are with those mourning and suffering.”
