The Kippah Classic | Yeshiva of Virginia and BBYO

7:00PM - 9:00PM

5403 Monument Avenue
Richmond, VA 23226

Join us at the 2nd Annual Kippah Classic, December 13th 7pm at the JCC

On Saturday night December 13th we will fill the JCC gym with community spirit as the Yeshiva of Virginia and BBYO’s AZA reunite for the 2nd Annual Kippah Classic Basketball game. The evening will begin with everyone sharing Havdallah before each team takes to the court for a hometown matchup. We hope to have full stands again this year as our Jewish teens ALL deserve a huge cheering section! There will even be halftime competitions (including prizes) with age group brackets for elementary and middle school fans.

And while the boys are competing on the court, the girls of BBYO’s BBG and the Shaarei Torah High School will be upstairs in the J sharing their own unity program.

This highly anticipated evening makes a difference… These are some of the reactions from last year’s participants:

“Meeting the BBYO girls was an amazing opportunity. It was such a fun event, but my favorite was our kumzitz: a few of their songs, a few of ours, and a few that we all knew. It was such a wholesome way to connect with the Jewish girls of the community.” – Elana Asher, Shaarei Torah of Richmond

“It showed unity in the Jewish people even though they were competing.” Yehoshua Aronowitz, Yeshiva of Virginia

“The game, while not competitive, was so much fun. It was such a special environment with everyone on the sidelines and being able to come together as a community on the court.” – Kaden Staffenberg, Deep Run High School

“It was really nice meeting Jewish girls within our community and getting to share stories and connections about our backgrounds.” – Sydney Isenberg, Freeman High School

It’s FREE and fun for the entire community. Show up and show our Jewish teens that they have your support!!
