6:00PM - 7:00PM

Valentine First Freedom Center 14 South 14th Street
Richmond, VA 23219

Join the Valentine and the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond for the final installment in this season of the Life, Liberty & Happiness lecture series. Meredith Weisel, Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) will discuss the history of the ADL and the rise of antisemitism, hate speech and extremism in America today. As a global leader in combating antisemitism, countering extremism and battling bigotry since 1913, the ADL works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.

Held at the Valentine First Freedom Center, Life, Liberty & Happiness highlights scholars whose work contributes to reinterpreting what “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” means today. The Mission of the Valentine First Freedom Center is to educate and engage diverse audiences about the freedom of conscience as first proclaimed in Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom and how we experience that freedom today.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
