Congregation Brith Achim is working with the Jewish Community Federation of Richmond to hold innovative services for children ages 5-10.
Do you know parents who:
- Want their children more engaged by Jewish services?
- Would like their children to learn more about their culture?
- Hope their children are more motivated about Judaism and Israel?
If so, Congregation Brith Achim will hold another Children's Awesome Service Experience on Saturday Saturday November 6 at 10:30 AM. Sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Richmond, we hold engaging services of prayer and Hebrew instruction encased in music, videos and computer games. The services are along side our adult Saturday services. Services are held in person, simulcast on Zoom and recorded for watching by those who have other activities on Saturday mornings.
Each service features core prayers and psalms plus a Hebrew lesson, videos, activities and games. The services are entertaining and educational for children 5 - 10 years old. Contests on the teachings at the services are held during and after services.
A joint oneg will be held after the service. We will have coffee, tea and other refreshment for parents (who must remain onsite during the program). On November 6 we also will be watching clips of family-friendly movies after oneg and discussing how Jews are portrayed in cinema.
