Advanced Care Planning

This presentation on Advanced Care Planning will focus on legal tools for decision-making that every adult needs to consider. Christopher McCarthy will address Powers of Attorney, when they’re effective, what the Agent can do, and common problems; Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) Orders and Advance Medical Directives (AMDs), plus statutory decision makers if you don’t have an AMD; and the employment of Guardians and Conservators, a last resort when there is no legally authorized decision-maker.
