Art and Judaism Symposium with RTA and JCC and Wine and Cheese Gallery Reception
Join JCC Arts & Ideas and RTA for a dynamic panel conversation exploring the
intersection of Judaism and art.
Panelists include Hillel Smith, a contemporary Jewish artist and muralist whose work is on permanent display at the Weinstein JCC and at Congregation Beth Ahabah; Mia Laufer, Curator of European Art at the Chrysler Museum of Art; Elie Glyn, Director of Exhibition Design and Production at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts; and Erin Cross, RTA art instructor and founder of The Glass Ceiling studio, with Rabbi Paul, Head of School at RTA, moderating. Together, they will reflect on how Jewish identity and tradition have influenced artistic expression across time. The event will be followed by a wine and cheese reception from 7:15–8:00 pm in the Sara D. November Gallery, celebrating the Brushstrokes of Tradition: RTA Students Reflect on Jewish Artists Through Art.
Both events are free and open to the public.
