In this class, we will be looking at the ancient craft of pottery-making – the clay, the potters’ wheels, the kilns, the variety of vessels, the historical development of this craft, and biblical references to potters and pottery. We will also see how pottery has become the main tool used by archaeologists for dating dig sites and various strata within tels.
